What is Route Package Protection, and what does it cover?Updated 2 months ago
Route's Package Protection is a package protection solution that helps cover your order in the event that your order gets lost, stolen, or damaged while in transit. We know how frustrating it is to have something happen to your order, so we've partnered with Route to offer added assurance that you're supported, no matter what. Package Protection can be added during checkout, for a small fee (3% of order value).
Route covers packages that are:
- Lost in transit – tracking shows no movement or delivery for an extended period. Claims must be filed within 30 days from the last shipping update.
- Stolen – marked as delivered by the carrier, but never received. Claims must be filed within 3-30 days from when the order was marked delivered. Note: Route requires a 3-day waiting period before filing a claim marked as "delivered."
- Damaged – arrived broken, crushed, or otherwise unusable. Claims must be filed within 30 days from when the order was marked delivered.
Route is also valid for international orders via Passport, extending the same protection beyond domestic shipments.
How Does Route Work?
If your Route-protected order ends up lost, damaged, or stolen, Route's expert support team helps ensure that your order gets replaced or refunded as preferred. Claims will be reviewed for approval within 1-2 business days from filing.
If you opted for Route protection, please file a claim with the Route team HERE for quick assistance with "in-transit" related issues.
